Vielen Dank, daß dieses Forum hier angeboten wird.

Ich forsche nach dem Familienzweig meines Urgroßvaters Hugo Gottmannshausen (Vater meiner Großmutter mütterlicherseits), über den ich leider so gut wie nichts weiß.

Nun habe ich hier unter http://www.wtg-gniazdo.org/nekrologi_all.php (Todesanzeigen?) den ja recht seltenen Namen GOTTMANNSHAUSEN entdeckt und würde mich freuen, wenn mir jemand nähere Informationen dazu geben könnte.

Antworten gern auf Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, Spanisch oder auch Polnisch.
Leider leider kann ich kein Polnisch schreiben, aber dieses natürlich mit Hilfen wie Google Translate und Wörterbüchern einigermaßen verstehen

Dear Anja.
Now the name of Freystadt/Niederschlesien is Kożuchów (Co-shoo-hoof in approximate pronmounciation).what is important for any possible written contact with there's administration.
May you kindly begin with googling this name version and adding the word "parafia"(parish). Much depends on whether your ancestor was of protestant (evangelic) or catholic belief. The catholic church for sure still exists there,about the possible evangelic one I don't know anything, if it still exists or if so,what is happening inside it now.
As I live at the Northern corner of the country and can help you remotely only by my advices.
For sure there is a cemetery ("cmentarz" in Polish,to be added to your above googling,you should get then the address of the cemetery of there,the street (Polish abbreviation"ul." or "al.").
If you wish so,I can make the remote query and then share with you,what I got remotely. For sure there is an evangelic church structure in the area, maybe with the headquarter in Wroclaw (former:Breslau) and maybe they could tell you more about the old evangelic cemeteries and their history over the recent 50 years about.

I already found the birth register for my grandmother. It is available as a scan online. That's great!
Now I'd like to find out about the marriage of my great-grandparents and birth of potential sisters oder brothers of my grandmother, so I'll have to go through all the online-scans....
