Websites about places in Dolnoslaskie before 1945

Post autor: Emma »

Hello,

I am writing from Germany. The whole family of my mother came after 1945 from Silesia.
I made websites about some places, where they did live. The text is written in german language, but you can see there some old photos from the places and persons, who lived once there. Maybe it is interesting for some people here:

1.
Kottwitz, Kreis Trebnitz, now: Kotowice, Dolnoslaskie:
http://www.kottwitz-trebnitz.npage.de

2.
Frauenwaldau, Kreis Trebnitz, now: Bukowice, Solnoslaskie:

3.
Alt-Schliesa (Alt-Schlesing), Bezirk Breslau, now: Stary Sleszow, Dolnoslaskie:

4.
Karschau, Kreis Nimptsch, now: Karszów, Dolnoslaskie:
http://www.bewahren.npage.de

5.
Striese, Kreis Trebnitz, now: Streszów, Dolsnoslaskie:

Sorry, because I can not speak Polish. :| If you want to write me, please English or German.

Many greetings at all from

Hi, Emma,
I am glad to read, that whole Your maternal Family survived
the horror of the war and burdensome displacement.
As you kindly mentioned about Silesian locations, I would like
to ask you about maybe weird topic:
my greatgrandparents have made taken themselves a photo
in the second half of 19.century in Bunzlau (current name:
Boleslawiec). As a pair of conjoints. I am looking for any trace
of such distant ancestors. The back side of that ancient
photo bears the data about the photographer which took
such photo.Would it possible that that photographer was
functioning until 1945 and that his archive of customers
reaching the 2nd half of the 19.century had the chance
to be displaced to the area, where the former residents
of Silesian Bunzlau were displaced?
Maybe I am overcurious, but for ancestry search any
even deeply inquisitive seach may bring substantial
results:-).
My said ancestors second name was Wollschlager.
The Great Granny first name was Catherina.
Thank you in advance for any your kind response.
With the best regards,
Jack "gerszewski"
